Hollywood rapper Kanye West, who now goes by Ye, released a concerning video for his song ‘Eazy’ on Tuesday (March 1), shortly after court signed off on former wife Kim Kardashian's request to be declared single. The artist faced immense backlash for channelling his hatred towards Pete Davidson in the new music video where he can be seen targeting his estranged wife's current boyfriend.
In the "alarming" video shared by Kanye on Instagram, the Donda musician kidnaps a claymation version of the SNL actor, puts a bag over his head, ties him to the back of his bike, drags him through the dirt and buries him alive. He later plants roses on his head. The global artist is then seen standing on top of the garden as the lyrics, "God saved me from that crash, just so I could beat Pete Davidson's ass" are heard.
Towards the end of the video, a truck full of roses, similar to the one he appeared to deliver to estranged wife Kim Kardashian on Valentine's Day, pans across the view. The Yeezy founder then references "Skete," a nickname he used to refer Pete Davidson, as the words, "EVERYONE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER / EXCEPT SKETE YOU KNOW WHO / JK HE'S FINE," appear on the screen.

The disturbing video shared received immense backlash and called out Kanye for the apparent depiction of Pete. "That Kanye video is actually disturbing, pete needs to sue and file a restraining order," a Twitter user wrote, with another adding, "i love kanye but this petty s--- is embarrassing and everyone praising him for it clearly don't give a f--- about him. like if something happens to Pete, kanye will truly be f---ed cause he's leaving all the evidence online".
Another user labelled the video "emotional abuse," warning that it "will end very badly for this family." The said person added, "I felt terrified, can't imagine how Kim feels. He's terrorizing her as punishment and I hope people will stop excusing this as art." Another user questioned, "Are we going to let Kanye continue publicly bullying Pete Davidson?”, as some else noted, "Kanye has hit a very scary point. If I was Kim or Pete, I'd be down at the police station filing a restraining order YESTERDAY!"
The concerning video was released on the same day Kim Kardashian was legally declared single. On Wednesday, March 2, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Steve Cochran granted the SKIMS founder’s request of the dissolution of her marriage to Kanye West following which The Keeping Up With The Kardashians dropped ‘West’ from her name.
