On an episode of the Feel It In Your Soul podcast, Kapil Sharma opened up about his journey from struggling in Mumbai to achieving global fame. He shared that he arrived in Mumbai with just Rs 1200 in his pocket and, at one point, struggled to afford even a single meal each day.

In the same podcast, Kapil Sharma discussed how his bank balance hit zero after he decided to produce two films. He recounted losing all his money and entering a challenging phase in his life that ultimately led to depression. Kapil stated, “Mera dimaag kharab hogaya. Maine do filmein bana diya (I lost my mind and I created two films).”

Speaking in Punjabi, he elaborated, “Actually, what happened was that I had a lot of money, and I thought one becomes a producer with money. But one never becomes a producer with just money. Producers have a different thinking. There's a different training to become a producer. I wasted a lot of money, and my bank balance went down to zero.”

Kapil Sharma went on to reveal how his wife, Ginni Chatrath, played a crucial role in helping him navigate through a difficult phase in his life. He explained that, in addition to losing money on film production, several other factors contributed to his depression.

Despite the challenges he faced during that time, Kapil believes that those experiences were essential. He feels that if he hadn't gone through those hardships, he wouldn't appreciate his current success as much.

Kapil Sharma's net worth is an impressive Rs 300 crore. His latest project, The Great Indian Kapil Show, has garnered positive responses from audiences. Additionally, his fallout with comedian Sunil Grover attracted significant media attention.
