The Kapil Sharma Show: Taapsee Pannu says she got entry in Bollywood under sports quota after Kapil Sharma teases her for playing an athlete in multiple films

Taapsee Pannu is currently busy promoting her upcoming film Rashmi Rocket. The film will be released on ZEE5 on October 15. She will also be appearing on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote the film. In a promo of the episode, Kapil Sharma can be seen teasing Taapsee for playing athletes in her film quite often.

In the clip, Kapil is heard saying, "Taapsee ne kaafi saari films ki jinmein woh athlete bani hain. Soorma or Marnmarziyaan mein inhone hockey kheli, Saand Ki Aankh mein inhone rifle shooting ki or aane wali film inki cricket ke uper hai or ab jo film hai usmein athelete bani hain. Toh aapne acting a course kiya hai ya PT Usha ka course kiya hai?” Taapsee bursts out laughing on listening to Kapil's observation. "Mera Sports Day khatam hi nahi ho raha. Meko lag raha hai mujhe Bollywood mai entry sports quota mai mili hai," Taapsee said.

Rashmi Rocket starring Taapsee in the lead role deals with gender testing in sports. She plays the role of Rashmi, a sprinter who dreams of representing the country. However, she faces a ban due to higher testosterone levels leading to questioning of her gender. She takes the legal route to win back her respect and identity.
