Karan Johar massively trolled for promoting nepotism by introducing Jahnvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in Dhadak

Arguably, the word of the year has been ‘nepotism’. It became famous after Kangana Ranaut used it in the TV Show ‘Koffee With Karan’ while addressing host Karan Johar as the ‘flag bearer of nepotism’. Karan Johar, after a few days, expressed his displeasure over Kangana’s comments and in no time, it snowballed into a big issue. It had died down but in July 2017, it again became big when Karan Johar along with star sons Varun Dhawan and Saif Ali Khan took a dig at Kangana Ranaut during ‘IIFA Awards 2017’ by proclaiming ‘Nepotism rocks’. However, the joke backfired terribly and all three of them were forced to apologize.

Yesterday, Karan Johar unveiled the first look of his upcoming film Dhadak and it once again got him a lot of negative comments. Dhadak is the official Hindi remake of the 2016 Marathi blockbuster Sairat and it also marks the debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter. While Janhvi is the daughter of actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, Ishaan is the half-brother of the popular actor Shahid Kapoor. As a result, Karan Johar was trolled massively on his Facebook page for promoting star kids again and not giving outsiders a chance.

Dhadak is directed by Shashank Khaitan, who made Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and is all set to release on July 6, 2018.
