Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is one of the most anticipated films that will bring back the jodi of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt after Gully Boy. This film also marks the return of the actress after a short maternity break. Fans of the two stars couldn’t stop appreciating the recently released trailer of the film. Interestingly, the film is equally special for the maker Karan Johar who not only completes 25 years in the industry but also because the film marks his return as a director after seven years. Moreover, we hear that the filmmaker has also paid a tribute of sorts to Indian musical legends in his recent release.

We have learnt that Karan Johar has paid homage to the legends of music that have inspired him over his 25 years of being a filmmaker in his latest release. A source close to the filmmaker said, “The background and the texture of the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, as everyone gathered from the high impact trailer of the film, is highly influenced by Hindi cinema & music, allowing audiences to relish the magic of classic Indian movies. Karan Johar is all set to bring back the magic of the yesteryears along with the homage for the legendary music artists.”

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani revolves around the concept of opposites where they two people, Rocky Randhawa and Rani Chatterjee, belonging to completely different backgrounds and families, decide to stay with each other’s families to convince them into getting them married.

Apart from Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, the film also features Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, among others along with an ensemble cast. Produced by Dharma Productions, the film is slated for release on July 28.
