Contestant Vijay Gupta took off his shirt to celebrate and asked the audience to cheer for him after winning the first round of KBC 14, leaving host Amitabh Bachchan shocked.

Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 started on a great note, right before Independence Day, with stars like Aamir Khan being a part of its first episode. The show, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, has always been in news either because of fan stories about the veteran star or because of their icon win during the quiz show. This time around, something quirky has happened on the show and we got a glimpse of it in the recently released promo.

When one of the contestants - Vijay Gupta - won the ‘fastest fingers first’ round on the show and proceeded to the hot seat, he celebrated his win by taking off his shirt, leaving Amitabh Bachchan surprised.

Amitabh Bachchan was left surprised and embarrassed as the contestant walked around the entire set of Kaun Banega Crorepati, without his shirt and even went and hugged his wife in the audience. Known for his witty sense of humour, Amitabh requested the contestant to wear his shirt saying, “Bhaisaab kameez jaldi se pehen lijiye. Humein darr hai ki aur vastr na utar jaaye. (Brother, please wear your shirt quickly. We are worried that more clothes will come off).”

While Vijay Gupta continued to ask the audience to cheer for him, Amitabh Bachchan requested him twice, asking him to put his shirt back on. He even followed the contestant backstage where he was seen adjusting his attire. Needless to say, his comments left the audience in splits. Here, have a look at this fun promo:

Unfortunately, the contestant Vijay Gupta, who was quite excited to be on the hot seat, couldn’t win more than Rs. 10,000. Nevertheless, he seems to have won the attention and applause of the audience after his win in the first round.

Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 hosted by Amitabh Bachchan premiered on August 8 and the show opened to a great response. It continues to be one of the most enjoyed reality shows.
