In a recent interview with News18, Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon discussed her views on directing a film and why she is not inclined towards taking on the director's chair. Despite her love for the creative process, Kriti expressed her preference for being in front of the camera rather than behind it, citing the challenges and long-term commitment involved in directing.
The actress, known for her roles in films like Mimi, shared her perspective on directing, saying, “I love being in front of the camera a lot. A director’s job is far more difficult, and you have to stay with that one project for a very long time. I don’t think I can do that.”
Acknowledging the encouragement she received from director Laxman Utekar, Kriti shares, “Laxman (Utekar) sir would tell me that I would direct someday but I used to keep telling him that I’m happy just being an actor. As of now, I’m tapping into the creative side of me as a producer.”
With her maiden production venture, Do Patti, already wrapped up, Kriti Sanon looks forward to delivering more engaging content to the audience. Additionally, fans can anticipate her presence in upcoming projects like The Crew alongside Tabu and Kareena Kapoor Khan and an untitled romantic drama alongside Shahid Kapoor, scheduled for a theatrical release in February.
