Kriti Sanon shares her experience of working with director Rohit Dhawan on Shehzada; says, “He is very stubborn about his dialogues, you can’t change a word here and there”

Following her fine performance in the film Mimi, Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon has welcomed a slew of new followers into her fandom. The actor-turned-model is on the rise and is currently busy promoting her upcoming film Shehzada alongside Kartik Aaryan. The family entertainer is directed by Rohit Dhawan and is slated to hit theatres on February 17, 2023.

Kriti Sanon shares her experience of working with director Rohit Dhawan on Shehzada; says, “He is very stubborn about his dialogues, you can’t change a word here and there”

In an exclusive video interview with Bollywood Hungama, Kriti was asked if Rohit Dhawan’s cinema was similar to his dad David Dhawan’s. To this Kriti replied, “I can’t say it’s the same cinema because obviously the person is different. I feel like any two different people will direct the film differently. While you will see some sort of jhalak or some sort of like vibe of a similar kind of cinema but it is his modern take on the kind of film that maybe David sir also made. So, because it kind of falls in that category of films that we used to watch in the 90s, a lot of which were done by David sir and it had everything. So, this (Shehzada) kind of has everything in it. It’s got romance, it’s got comedy, it’s got action, it’s got family values, it’s got emotion to it, but it’s in Rohit’s own style.”

Further when Kriti was asked about her experience on working with Rohit Dhawan, she said, “He is absolutely clear with what he wants. Of course, you can go to him and say that ‘I am thinking of doing it like this’ and he asks to show him what you mean. But then at the same time he is very stubborn about his dialogues. You can’t change a word here and there. But that is how he is.”

She further added, “I feel like every director is very different. There are certain directors who say, ‘Okay what do you want to say?’, which can really throw you off. But it is nice to have someone who has that level of clarity because then you can fully surrender and be okay and do what he is asking to do.”

Apart from Shehzada, Kriti will be next be seen in The Crew alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu, Adipurush opposite Prabhas. The actress will also be seen opposite Shahid Kapoor in an untitled film under Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films banner.
