Neeraj Pandey has received many accolades for his film Special 26. But the recent pat on the back came straight from the senior member of BJP L.K Advani. In fact Advani's daughter Pratibha arranged a special screening for her parents as a gesture on their 53rd wedding anniversary.
"When my daughter Pratibha saw Special 26, she, knowing that I had liked Neeraj Pandey's first film A Wednesday, recommended this second film also to me and added, 'This is the month of February. And February 15, is Special for you and Mom. It is your Marriage Anniversary. Why not have a show at Mahadev Road Auditorium for friends?' And that is how we family and friends enjoyed the film that day", said Advani.
After being away from the film scene for four years, Pandey has produced yet another thriller in the form of Special 26. With Anupam Kher common to both his ventures, this second film has one advantage over Neeraj's debut film - that this is based on an actual event of 1987. Yet another advantage this has is that the cast includes several other well known actors like Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee and Jimmy Shergill.
L. K. Advani says, "After four years, Pandey has produced yet another thriller in the form of Special 26."
