It is going to take the film industry, fans and his family some time before Rishi Kapoor's demise is coped with. While the actor was fighting cancer for the past two years, we always hoped he would beat the illness with his undying spirit, and come home triumphant.
While he succumbed at the end, Kapoor fought as much as he could and his illness never got the best of him. In a throwback video taken about two months ago, he is seen accompanied by a fan who sings Tere Dard Se Dil from his film Deewana, and breaks down. He is also seen blessing the singer by the end of the video. No matter how painful it got, the actor certainly never lost his smile, and the video is proof enough.

A statement from the family was released earlier in the day. "He remained jovial and determined to live to the fullest right through two years of treatment across two continents. Family, friends, food and films remained his focus and everyone who met him during this time was amazed at how he did not let his illness get the better of him.," it stated, adding that he kept the healthcare givers entertained till the last.
