Nargis Fakhri REACTS to Rockstar’s re-release; calls Ranbir Kapoor starrer “Cult classic” : Bollywood News

Rockstar, which was re-released in theatres alongside Tamasha, Jab We Met and other new releases as well, has been getting a good response. Reacting to the same, Nargis Fakhri aka Heer has expressed her happiness over the overwhelming response from the fans. The film made its way to the theatres again after over 12 years of its release in 2011.

“The response to the re-release of Rockstar has made me very emotional. I wish I could enjoy the response in person! To be honest, people’s love for the film has taken me back in time when the film was released for the first time. And over 12 years later, seeing people respond to the film in this manner, it feels like it is my debut again. When we were working on the film, we didn’t know we were making a cult classic that would age like a fine wine."

She further added, "I still get DMs from fans about how the film resonated with them. Time has flown but the emotions that the film evoked back then have remained the same. I am super honored that I am a part of such a film. I wish to do more films like 'Rockstar' that continue to entertain audiences even after years, but I just hope that this time, I don't die," Nargis laughed as she expressed. The actress added that she hopes that Imtiaz thinks of a "spin-off on Heer".

The Imtiaz Ali film has ended the dry spell in theatres that didn’t see enough footfalls despite new releases.
