Navya Naveli Nanda reveals that she is called ‘Reporter Raju’ in the family

In the latest episode of the podcast, Shweta Bachchan discusses about parenting with daughter Navya Naveli Nanda and mother Jaya Bachchan.

While they have been away from the camera, both Shweta Bachchan and Navya Naveli Nanda are quite active in the Bollywood scenes. From attending parties to chat shows, we have had brief glimpses of this Bachchan mother-daughter duo on several occasions. And we get to know about them a little more on the ongoing podcast show kicked off by Navya along with her mother and grandmother Jaya Bachchan. The three generations of ladies discuss a wide range of topics, from family to parenting and in one of the recent episodes, Shweta spoke about parenting skills and what it’s like to be a parent.

In a recent podcast video shared by Navya Naveli Nanda, the young girl quizzed her mother and grandmother about parenting. Jaya Bachchan described her daughter Shweta Bachchan as a dreamer adding, “She would take my dupatta, put it over her hand and would stand at the window, speak to herself and sing.” Jaya also revealed that she is currently exactly like the way she used to be as a kid. On the other hand, Shweta discussed the need of having an approachable parent. She said, “Children should be able to tell you, ‘I messed up, I did this, I need your help’.”

On a funnier note, Navya also confessed that she is the Reporter Raju of the family. “I remember I used to sit in Nana (Amitabh Bachchan)’s office all day long and pretend like I was his secretary. I was called Reporter Raju because I would share information.” She also went on to add how Agastya thinks they have all merged into one another. “When Agastya comes into the room and he sees us all sitting together, he is like you have all become each other.”

Coming to Navya Naveli Nanda, while there were rumours that she wanted to get into the film industry, the star kid has maintained that she has no intentions of entering Bollywood. However, her brother and Shweta’s son Agastya Nanda will debut alongside Suhana Khan in The Archies.
