Pregnant Rihanna turns her baby bump into a fashion statement in daring Vogue maternity photoshoot, see pictures

Rihanna has been known for her bold, fashion-forward maternity attire since announcing her pregnancy with A$AP Rocky in January 2021. She has been donning crop tops, skimpy skirts, and belly chains with her baby bump on full display. The international artist, who is expecting her first child, is featured on the cover of Vogue’s May edition. As part of the cover interview, Rihanna wore a number of extravagant outfits and even posed in a bathtub for the cameras.

Rihanna shared a series of photographs and in the first photo, she is wearing a black Saint Laurent coat designed by Anthony Vaccarello, and her baby bump is ornamented with Messika belly chains.

In the second shot, Rihanna is shown standing on a French balcony wearing a white Marc Jacobs floor sweeping coat, Savage X Fenty briefs, and Manolo Blahnik pointed toe heels, with Chopard earrings and a Briony Raymond ring to complete her ensemble.

Rihanna posed in a bathtub wearing nothing but a glitzy Boucheron necklace in one shot from the shoot. The singer rested her hands behind her head in the tub, relying on properly arranged suds to hide everything but her round bulge that protruded from the water. Rihanna wore her hair in an easy updo to keep it dry and finished the look with Chopard stud earrings — but the sensual looks didn't end there.

The singer posed in black translucent water colour dress by Jean Paul Gaultier. Gloves and heels perfectly complemented the look.

Rihanna looked fiery in a Rick Owens jacket and skirt, as well as Briony diamond jewellery, in one of the photographs. In the following shot, she dressed up in an Alaia white gown with a plunging neckline and a floor-sweeping train. Rihanna and the man force behind the project were included in the final shot of her aesthetic session. Rihanna is dressed in a Dior jacket with Dior sunglasses and gloves. Balenciaga boots and Savage X Fenty briefs completed her look.

“None of the dials are turned down,” she told Vogue of her life now, adding, “I think I even say yes to more now because I know it will be different on the other side of this. At first I expected some magical change, but really I remain who I am,” she said. “I was bracing myself for something insane because I knew I wouldn’t have my usual coping mechanism: I can’t just go and smoke a joint right now,” she said in the interview. “But I was pleasantly surprised that I’ve been able to manage,” she continued as she talked about her sizzling photoshoot baring her baby bump. Vogue reports that she hasn’t had morning sickness and she’s been able to handle mood swings with more ease than she had anticipated.

“As much as it’s happening, it’s also not happening,” she said of her pregnancy. “Sometimes I’ll walk past my reflection and be like, ‘Oh shit!’” And as for whether she and Rocky were planning to have a baby, she suggests they weren’t that calculating. “I wouldn’t say planning. But certainly not planning against it. I don’t know when I ovulate or any of that type of shit. We just had fun,” she told Vogue. “And then it was just there on the test. I didn’t waste any time. I called him inside and showed him. Then I was in the doctor’s office the next morning and our journey began.”
