Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt Wedding: Newlyweds share first photos, seal it with a kiss – ‘we got married’

Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who have been in a relationship for a while, are officially man and wife. The actors were keeping mum on their impending nuptials but on April 13, both Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji unveiled a teaser of the song 'Kesariya' from Brahmastra confirming that the two actors are getting married this week. The festivities began on April 13 with the Ganesha puja followed by mehendi ceremony. The wedding ceremony took place on Thursday, April 14.

Now, the first photos from the wedding ceremony are out. Alia and Ranbir sealed the wedding with a kiss. Alia shared the first photos. Twinning in ivory and beige co-ordinated traditional ensembles, the wedding photos were absolutely stunning.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, in a joint statement, said, "Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home … in our favourite spot - the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship - we got married. With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together … memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites. Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special. Love, Ranbir and Alia."

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding festivities began on April 13 and will conclude on April 17 with a star-studded reception. The actors will also be seen on the big screen together with Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. The film arrives in theatres on September 9, 2022.
