Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt married on Thursday after five years of being in relationship. On Thursday, the famous couple married in the presence of relatives and a few friends at the actor's Mumbai home. A few filmmakers, close relatives, and friends arrived in glam avatars at Vaastu for the wedding, which is Kapoor family’s ancestral home. Alia's mother, Soni Razdan, took to Instagram following the wedding to share a heartfelt message for her daughter and son-in-law
"They say you lose a daughter when you gain a son," Soni captioned a photo of the newlyweds. I say we gained a wonderful son, a wonderful warm family, and my darling beautiful baby girl is constantly with us. Here's wishing you, Ranbir and Alia, a lot of love, light, and happiness on your journey together. Maa, you are an amazing person,” she penned an emotional note.

Alia Bhatt's father, Mahesh Bhatt, was overjoyed at his daughter's wedding. "Who is to say that the age of fairy tales has passed us by?" he wtote. Mahesh applied mehendi to his palms in preparation for Alia's wedding. He had Alia and Ranbir's names in mehendi on his palms.

Neetu Kapoor dedicated the day to late Rishi Kapoor who wanted to see Ranbir Kapoor get married. The actor passed away in April 2020 following cancer diagnosis.
