Rohini Hattangadi, who has not only achieved fame in India but also worldwide with her award-winning portrayal of Kasturba Gandhi in the 1982 biographical drama Gandhi, was recently seen choosing her favourites from the film industry. In a candid interview, the veteran actress confessed that she would pick Ranbir Kapoor over Ranveer Singh and she reasoned her choice stating that she is not fond of the way Singh presents himself off screen.
In the past, many of the actors and actresses have appreciated Ranveer Singh for being over-the-top and fun but many others have also criticized the actor for presenting that kind of image. Rohini Hattangadi opened up stating that this may not be something that someone from her generation would appreciate. In an interview called Unfiltered by Samdish, the actress was asked to pick Ranbir Kapoor or Ranveer Singh. The actress immediate reply made the interviewer wonder if there was something that has been bothering her about Ranveer Singh.
When questioned further about her reaction about Ranveer Singh, Rohini Hattangadi said, “As an actor he is good, but I like Ranbir Kapoor more.” When prodded further, she continued, "Woh jo behave karta hai, mere khayal mein young generation ke liye toh bahut sahi behave karta hai. Shayad meri generation… Public figure ho toh thoda sa hona chahiye na kuch (The way he behaves, it is probably pretty apt for the younger generation. But I am from a different generation. I think we believe that as a public figure, they need to behave accordingly)”.
In the past, Ranveer Singh also came into the radar when he did a nude photoshoot for a magazine and posted its photos on his official social media handle.
