It could be just a coincidence that Veere De Wedding, Sonam Kapoor’s first release post-marriage is a smash success. The Kapoor family is thrilled about it. “It isn’t superstition. Just feels nice to have such a success after marriage,” says Sonam who intends to take her delayed honeymoon break as soon as the post-release promotions for Veere Di Wedding are over.
One also hears that Sonam’s husband Anand who has a business empire stretching from Delhi to London may soon expand into film production with his father-in-law Anil Kapoor, sister-in-law Rhea and wife Sonam.
Also, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s releases after marriage Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Ki & Ka, Udta Punjab, and now Veere De Wedding have all been successes.
Hopefully, the perception that married actresses in India are not marketable would now change.
