Sanjay Dutt disapproves Ameesha’s wardrobe

Paternal instincts are getting the better of Sanjay Dutt. While he is obviously quite protective of his newborn babies, even grown ups are supposed to be following a certain dicktat when they find a place in his nest. One such grown up is Ameesha Patel who has been given clear orders of being adequately dressed, especially when he is around. It's ironical though that for their upcoming film together, Ameesha is required to be struttering in the most revealing of outfits.

"Sanju is extremely protective of Ameesha. Even though there were rumours of all not being well between the two, it has just been a passing phase as Ameesha continues to be part of his inner circle. Sanju too treats her as a family which means short clothes are certainly out. Whenever there is a party at home or a family function, he wants Ameesha to be wearing only 'salwar kameez' instead of short skirts", informs a family friend.

For Ameesha though it's quite a cultural shift since she has been quite comfortable about her attire due to a cosmopolitan upbringing. She hasn't ever shied away from skin show; especially in her last Hindi film Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic where she gyrated seductively to 'Lazy Lamhe'.

"Something for screen is still understandable but in real life he disapproves of her revealing attire", the friend continues, "Ameesha too doesn't mind Sanju's over protectiveness because she understands that he means it all in the right spirit."

It is a different matter though that for Sanjay starrer Chatur Singh..., Ameesha has worn micro shorts in the song 'Chandni Chowk Se Savari'. Not just that as she has also danced to a seductive item number that has been suggestively titled 'Apni Jawaani Hai Meena Baazaar' for which the lyrics don't leave anything to imagination as they go as 'Kaahe Kare Itna Soch Vichar, Main Jungle Ki Hirni Hoon Kar Le Shikaar'.

Ameesha shrugs away all insinuations though and insists that real and reel life are different affairs. "Yes, Sanju does shout at me when he sees me in short skirts and all. He is very conservative and protective of me. But that's okay because people who belong to family have all the right to reprimand you. He considers me as his baby sister. So it's fine."
