Sara Ali Khan has wooed hearts ever since her first film. The actress, who is known for films like Simmba and the recent Atrangi Re, has had a legacy when it comes to Bollywood and it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the filminess is in her blood. But recently, when she was asked if would like to play her grandmother Sharmila Tagore in her biopic, the actress refused to do so. She reasoned that she won’t be able to fill in her shoes.
In an interview with Roposo Live, Sara Ali Khan was asked about what would be her response if someone approaches her with the biopic of Sharmila Tagore. The Simmba actress maintained, “She's so graceful. I don't know if I'm graceful.” She also spoke about how she has never discussed career with her grandmother because they often end up discussing about other worldly things.
She shared, "I speak to badi amma (grandmother) quite a lot, but I don't think I've actually spent much time speaking to her about her career as such. There are so many other things. She's so well-read, interested in current events, and has a great sense of general knowledge. She's such a classy lady and she's had such a life. She has world views and we've spent so much more time talking about that than actually her craft, which I think I should."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sara Ali Khan was last seen alongside Dhanush and Akshay Kumar in Atrangi Re which released on Disney+Hotstar. She is currently gearing up for Gaslight with Vikrant Massey and Chitrangda Singh. She will also be playing the leading lady of Vicky Kaushal in an untitled venture, directed by Laxman Utekar.
