Several single screens in Maharashtra yet to open bookings for Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 due to the release of the Marathi film Naal 2 on November 10 3 : Bollywood News

Less than a week remains for the release of Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 and the excitement is considerable. However, there are two more important films hitting the box office this Friday, November 10. One is The Marvels and the other is Naal 2. It is the sequel to the super-hit Marathi film Naal (2018) and is being released by Zee Studios.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Zee is looking at releasing Naal 2 in around 200 plus screens in Maharashtra. Getting the shows in multiplexes is not a problem.”

The source continued, “However, Zee Studios is also asking single screens in traditional Marathi cinema strongholds to screen Naal 2. These theatres, however, have been booked for Tiger 3, that too all the shows. Zee is negotiating with these exhibitors for a show or two. As a result, the bookings in the theatres of Dadar and Lalbaug in Mumbai haven’t opened yet. Even the single screens of other cities where Marathi films score are yet to commence bookings. The bookings will start only once both the studios (Zee and Yash Raj Films) reach a consensus. A solution is expected to arise today or tomorrow.”

An industry insider commented, “The first part of Naal collected around Rs. 24 crores at the box office. Hence, Naal 2 deserves showcasing in certain single screens due to the popularity of the franchise. Also, in the past, Marathi films have opened on Diwali successfully. Ani… Dr Kashinath Ghanekar (2018) clashed with Thugs Of Hindostan. On Diwali 2015, Katyar Kaljat Ghusali and Mumbai Pune Mumbai 2 were released on the same day as Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.”

Naal 2 is directed by Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti and stars Sairat (2016) and Jhund (2022) director Nagraj Popatrao Manjule in a prominent role. Jitendra Joshi, Shreenivas Pokale, Treesha Thosar, Bhargav Jagtap, Deepti Devi and Devika Daftardar also feature in this family entertainer.
