The Indian women's cricket team, also known as the Women in Blue, defeated Sri Lanka by 19 runs in the final to clinch the gold medal.

This has been a remarkable year for women's cricket in India. The team started the year with a spirited performance in the T20 World Cup, followed by the historic Women's Premier League (WPL) and now the gold medal at the Asian Games.
The Indian women's cricket team elected to bat first in the final and made 117/7, with Smriti Mandhana (46) and Jemimah Rodrigues (42) making significant contributions. For Sri Lanka, Udeshika Prabodhani took 2/16, Inoka Ranaweera picked up two wickets for 21 runs, and Sugandika Kumari also took two wickets for 30.
Chasing a low target, India restricted Sri Lanka to 97/8 to win the first-ever gold medal in women's cricket at the Asian Games. Titas was the pick of the bowlers for India, taking three wickets for just 6 runs. Rajeshwari Gayakwad took two wickets, and Devika Vaidya took one wicket.
