Sona Mohapatra criticises Shehnaaz Gill; asks what is her “particular talent” besides “low-brow reality tv fame”

After Jacqueline Fernandez, Sona Mohapatra slammed Punjabi actress-singer Shehnaaz Gill on Twitter.

Singer, live performer and music producer, Sona Mohapatra is a powerhouse of talent. However, besides this, she is widely known for her unfiltered opinion on various matters. The singer has often targeted celebs and slammed them on Twitter. After Salman Khan, Farhan Akhtar, and Jacqueline Fernandez, this time she has criticised popular Punjabi actress-singer Shehnaaz Gill, who became a household name post her participation in Bigg Boss Season 13.

For the unversed, on Sunday, Sona took to her Twitter handle and questioned Shehnaaz Gill and her talent. It all started on February 23, when out of nowhere, Sona tweeted, “all the twitter adulation for #ShehnaazGiII’s act of ‘respect’ today reminded me of her ‘support’, ‘reverence’ & ‘glorification’ of a multiple accused sex offender & pervert #SajjidKhan when he was platformed on National TV.Wished she had some respect for her sisterhood. #MeToo.”

On Sunday, Sona re-shared it and addressed “trolls.” Her tweet read, “Dear trolls trying to stand up for yet another starlet like Jacqueline, I don’t know what Shehnaz’s particular talent is as of now, apart from low-brow reality tv fame.But I do know the modus operandi of women of convenience,shortcuts who bust the good fight for a role/money.”

Her tweet has not received a pleasing response as the Shehnaaz Gills fans expressed their disappointment over Sona’s remarks. “Defaming other women on the name of fake feminism has become the daily routine of some women & you aren't the exception. All these women are fighting their battle, without asking for help . So,it's better to focus on your work than getting momentary fame from other's pain.,” wrote a user in reply, while another commented, “Your whole existence seems tweeting abt others to stay in limelight.. To see her TALENT you need to be a PURE SOUL Which your are not sadly!”

On the other hand, Shehnaaz Gill has also not responded to Sona’s criticism, as of now.
