On the occasion of Stranger Things Day, November 6, Netflix revealed the name of the first episode of Stranger Things Season 5. To delight the fandom of the series, the streaming giant took to its official social media handle and posted a picture of the forthcoming season finale's script cover on social media.

As has become custom, Matt and Ross Duffer, the show's writers, also penned the premiere episode of the upcoming season. Sharing the news, Netflix wrote, “season 5. episode 1. the crawl. HAPPY STRANGER THINGS DAY,” on Instagram. The title was written on something that appears to be the script for the first episode.

Reacting to the post, fans took to the comments section and flooded it with their theories. While a section of them assumed that it could be Eddie Manson crawling back from the upside-down world, others are concluding that it could be Max as she can’t walk. Meanwhile, many of them recalled the last episode of the previous season where Nancy shot Vecna.

A fan commented, “it picks up from the end of season 4 and it starts w vecna crawling away from the creek house after he fell out the window.” On the other hand, actresses Amybeth and Maya Hawke also dropped their comments on the post. While the former said, “I want to read it to my cats please send it,” the latter asked, “When Do I get to read this?”

It is worth mentioning that the makers did not give any details about the release of the forthcoming season.

For the unversed, every year on November 6, the makers and fans of Stranger Things commemorate the day Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) first went missing in 1983. Starring Millie Bobby Brown, the five-season series revolves around a group of friends, who witness supernatural forces and secret government exploits.
