In a recent LinkedIn post, Shetty underscored the pivotal role of pursuing higher education, recognizing its potential to elevate specific work-related skills.

In a reflective tone, Shetty expressed a newfound appreciation for the advantages that formal education could have bestowed upon him, particularly in crucial areas such as strategic planning, financial acumen, and executing at scale. This acknowledgment of the significance of education comes from a successful figure who has continuously evolved and recognizes the enduring value of continuous learning for both personal and professional growth.

Opening his LinkedIn post, Shetty shared, "I never studied beyond my bachelor's degree." This candid admission sets the stage for his reflections on the importance of education and how it has shaped his perspective over time.

He also wrote, “It wasn't as though my parents didn’t value higher education. Both my sisters were in fact sent abroad for higher studies despite the fact that it wasn’t exactly affordable for my parents.”

“It’s just that my parents never pushed me to pursue a higher education since I’d taken to working full-time by the time I was in college. I consider it my fortune to have worked closely with several highly educated people in the course of my career. Especially in the last 20 odd years through my entrepreneurial journey and my involvement with startups,” he added.

Furthermore, Suniel Shetty disclosed that opportunities for higher education were indeed available to him. He cited the example of his sisters, who chose to pursue studies abroad. Despite acknowledging the privilege within his family, Mr. Shetty shed light on the unique circumstances that led him to opt for full-time work in the family business after completing his bachelor's degree.
