Readers may recall that actress Sushmita Sen survived a massive heart attack earlier this year while shooting for the third season of Aarya in Jaipur. In a recent interview, Sushmita revealed that she had a heart attack just six months after getting a proper health check-up done.

Sushmita told Hindustan Times, "It happened so suddenly and so unexpectedly. My last check-up was 6 months before the heart attack, and it was shocking. Everything was okay, the stress test was okay, and the echo was okay. It was a very sudden occurrence." For the unversed, Sushmita explained that her parents, Shubeer Sen and Shubhra Sen, have heart conditions, thus, the actress used to get her heart check-up done twice a year. Her last test reports showed no issues.

Despite her health scare, Sushmita was determined to complete the shoot for Aarya 3. She revealed that all the action sequences of the show were shot after she recovered from the heart attack. Talking about the scene from the trailer of the show when she falls on the ground after being shot, Sushmita shared, "When Aarya gets shot, falls to the ground, and she's gasping for air, in a crazy way it was like the reel and real life, finally coming to a beautiful cathartic unison feeling. As dark as that sounds, I think it was a whole new beginning for me."

Speaking of Aarya 3, the show has started streaming the third season from November 3, that is today. Besides Sen, the show also features Sikander Kher, Ila Arun and Namit Das, among others. The Disney Plus Hotstar series is based on the Dutch drama series Penoza.
