Sushmita Sen on suffering a heart attack, “It was a phase and it passed” : Bollywood News

Apart from her fine performances on screen, Sushmita Sen has also been someone who has gained followers for coming across as a strong woman. She went through a low phase earlier this year when she suffered a heart attack. The actress had to undergo angioplasty because of the same. But it seems that she has taken that blow in a positive spirit, as can be seen from her latest interview with News 18.

Recalling that phase, Sushmita said, “It was a phase and it passed. I am very lucky to be on the other side. It doesn’t make me fearful now, instead I now have a feeling of promise, of something to look forward to. When you get a new lease on life, you respect it and are more careful.”

Sushmita went through the health scare while she was shooting for the third season of her popular Disney+ Hotstar web show Aarya. Obviously, the shoot of the show had to be halted. But Sushmita joined the sets soon after she recovered and made sure that it gets completed on time.

Jus a few days back, Sushmita took an impromptu live session on Instagram where, apart from her health, she also spoke about Aarya season 3. She said, “I am waiting for Aarya 3. I think it’s going to be very lovely this time. There is a lot that has gone into it… so many things to tell you when we finally discuss Aarya about all the stuff that we did, pre health scare and all the action we did post. I hope you like it.”

On the work front, apart from Aarya season 3, Sushmita also has the web show Taali, where she is essaying the role of the real-life transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant. The show is all set to stream on JioCinema from August 15.
