Filmfare Awards 2024 took place in Gujarat where Varun Dhawan delivered a heartfelt tribute to his father, David Dhawan, as the latter was honoured with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. The event, filled with glitz and glamour, saw Varun expressing gratitude for his father's profound contribution to Indian cinema. And he had Karisma Kapoor as a surprise guest.
Varun Dhawan danced to the beats of ‘Main Toh Raste Se’, and ‘Soni De Nakhre’ among several other songs from David Dhawan’s filmography. He brought Karisma Kapoor on stage to dance to the song ‘What Is Your Mobile Number’ from the 1999 film Haseena Maan Jayegi. The actress was a huge part of some of the hit films directed by David Dhawan.
Varun captioned the video, “What is mobile number? Got a chance to dance with my childhood crush @therealkarismakapoor #filmfare 2024.” Karisma commented on the video, “Such a special moment, Varun,” to which Varun responded, “u made it so special lolo.”
