With Vicky Kaushal trending on several platforms for the songs ‘Tauba Tauba’ and ‘Janam’, audiences are eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of his intense chemistry with Animal star Triptii Dimri in Bad Newz. During the promotions of the same, the actor referred to another film with the other Animal actress Rashmika Mandanna, titled Chhaava. Vicky spoke very highly of his co-star - the original national crush, Rashmika who will be seen with him on the big screen for the first time.

It is a known fact that Rashmika is a South Indian but going by the words of her co-star Vicky, it seems that the actress underwent an extensive prep to play a historical Maharashtrian character. Praising Mandanna, Vicky shared his admiration for her portrayal of a Maharashtrian queen, highlighting both her beauty and her exceptional performance in the film. Vicky told Galatta Plus in an interview, "Rashmika is a sweetheart of a person. We got to act together for the first time in our next film, Chaava, and she brings so much positivity to the set. She is a person who is very beautiful at heart.”

He went on to add, "She looks like a true Maharashtrian in 'Chaava,' and no Maharashtrian can look the way she does in the movie. You have to watch the film to believe it. She is looking gorgeous as a Maharashtrian maharani. She is a wonderful actor, very warm, nice, and a pleasant person”.

About Chhaava

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava traces the journey of one of the most popular Maharashtrian kings, Chatrapathi Sambhaji played by Vicky Kaushal, with Rashmika Mandanna playing the latter’s wife Yesubai Bhosale. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna in a key role along with Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, among others in ensemble supporting characters. Produced by Maddock Films, the film is slated for release on December 6, 2024.
