Bollywood actor Vijay Varma, known for his consistent and compelling performances in Indian cinema, has carved a niche for himself with his roles in various shows and films. From his stellar performances in Dahaad, Kalkoot, Lust Stories 2, to the critically acclaimed Jaane Jaan, Vijay Varma has left an indelible mark on audiences.
However, it was his portrayal of Moeen Arif in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy that truly transformed his career trajectory. As the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer film completed five successful years since its release, Vijay Varma reflected on the impact of the film and how it reshaped his journey in the industry.
Responding to the same, Vijay Varma said, “It feels like insaaf hua hai. It's heartening to see that so many brilliant actors are in the spotlight today. You need to up your game as well. From being a supporting actor to a leading man, it's been quite a journey, and it's not a common graph. Irrfan was a massive inspiration for me because his journey was also tough. He became a role model for people like me. Also, you don't always need to look outside. You need to have that insatiable hunger for work, and I have that even now. No appreciation should stop you from wanting to do more work.”
Vijay has Ul Jalool Ishq, Pan India film Suriya 43, and the much-awaited Mirzapur Season 3 in the pipeline. Bringing a fresh twist to the mystery genre with a blend of suspense, comedy, and romance, he will also be seen in Murder Mubarak which debuts onscreen on March 15.
