Following the shocking murder of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique, who was a close associate of Salman Khan, the Maharashtra government has granted Y-plus security to the Bollywood superstar. Siddique was killed on October 12 in Mumbai, reportedly by three individuals linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The enhanced security for Salman is a precautionary measure amid fears that he could also become a target. In an interview, Salman's close friend Vindu Dara Singh expressed his views on the recent disturbing developments in the industry.

He told Instant Bollywood, “You have to understand. A different type of law is going on. This is very funny because there is a court and everything. No one knows the truth, and nothing has been proven yet. So it is really shocking and unbelievable what is happening. I hope and pray that better sense prevails and Salman ko kuch na ho.”

It has been revealed that a contract worth ₹25 lakh was arranged for an assassination attempt on Salman Khan near his Panvel farmhouse. This plot, allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, was disclosed in a chargesheet filed by the Navi Mumbai police. The conspiracy, which spanned from August 2023 to April 2024, included plans to obtain high-powered weapons such as AK-47s, M16 rifles, and Zigana pistols—the same types used in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.

The gang's choice to seek such heavy weaponry was driven by Salman Khan’s increased security measures, which include the use of a bulletproof vehicle. One of the conspirators, Sukha, was arrested in Haryana earlier this week. He had been in communication with an arms dealer and had assigned Ajay Kashyap to carry out the hit on Salman, according to reports from The Times of India.

The report also indicated that several individuals had been monitoring Salman Khan’s movements throughout the city. The gang had devised an escape route through Kanyakumari, intending to flee to Sri Lanka after the assassination attempt.

As investigations progress, Salman Khan’s security measures have been further heightened in light of these concerning developments.
