In the fashion riddled tinsel town, B-town celebrities and their off-duty styles are a chic cheat sheet to all that's in vogue. It's often said that fashion is transient but personal style is something that we chose by blending comfort with the trends that resonate the best with us. As the curated representations of their fashion stylists, some celebs maintain a pace of classy styles but sometimes their experimental looks fail to evoke a wow. This week saw Sonam Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Swara Bhasker stumble onto the worst dressed list.

Looking impeccable is pretty much the salient job description of tinsel town celebrities. But their bid to engage their fans with some out-of-the-box stylish offerings, they roped in the latest vogues which failed to evoke a wow. Here is a closer look.

Weekly Worst Dressed - Sonam Kapoor Ahuja

Promoting Veere Di Wedding in the city, Sonam wore a velvet Erdem dress, a green one from the Autumn Fall 2018 collection. Black pumps, bright lips and a sleek hairdo rounded out her look. While this look would have worked extremely well in winter, we wonder why Sonam opted for such a heavy fabric in this sweltering heat.

Weekly Worst Dressed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Out and about in the city for a family dinner date, Aishwarya wore separates from Andrew Gn’s Pre-Fall 2017 collection featuring a top and fringed skirt. Strappy black sandals, signature bright lips and sleek hair rounded out her look. Our only grouse with the look was the skirt that totally pulled down the snazzy top.

Weekly Worst Dressed - Jacqueline Fernandez

Promoting Race 3, Jacqueline who was styled by Lakshmi Lehr of Style Cell wore Kate Spade separates with a striped bralette. Big earrings and Christian Louboutin sandals, pink lips and wavy hair rounded out her look. The attempt to add colour to the sparkly separates with the sandals and earrings falls flat and look jarring.

Weekly Worst Dressed - Swara Bhasker

Promoting Veere Di Wedding, Swara wore a lilac pantsuit by Lavish Alice teamed with textured hair left open, pink lips and Chloé PVC pumps. Our major grouses with this look were the white tank top and the jarring makeup. A look that does not flatter her at all, Swara seems to have dabbled in a style play that fails to resonate with her persona.

With promotional style files assuming an unprecedented importance in recent times, the tinsel townies pull off a multitude of looks, all of which may not be hits.
