As Sanjay Dutt turns 59 on July 29, he has a lot to look forward to. His new film Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 in which he plays a gangster for the umpteenth time opens right after the stupendous success of his biopic Sanju.
But, would the success of the Dutt bio-pic positively impact the box office figures of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3? Considering that Sanjay Dutt has not had a success in years, this could be his leap back into the big league.
Says trade analyst Atul Mohan, “Definitely Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 will benefit from the success of Sanju. It has generated the necessary heat in the trade and amongst audience also. SBG has been a successful franchise and with Sanjay Dutt starring in this one has taken it to new level altogether. The success of Sanju proves that audience loves Baba.”
However, trade expert Amod Mehra warns, “People’s expectations have risen after Sanju. But if the content is anything less than above-average it will backfire.”
