World Environment Day is celebrated to make people more conscious about conserving our environment. It is observed to encourage and create awareness towards protecting our environment. Ziddi Dil Maane Na actress Kaveri Priyam, who essays the role of leading lady Monami, is one of the celebrities who strongly believes in conserving our environment and recently urged everyone to take steps in order to preserve and protect the planet.

Speaking about her thoughts on conservation on World Environment Day, Kaveri Priyam said, "It clearly signifies how important it is for us to know that we don't have any other planet but this. So whatever resources we have got we need to use them sustainably. Shift our energies to more renewable sources of energy and never over-exploit the environment and plants, so that our coming generation is left with an equal amount of resources. Rather than exploiting, we have to use the resources we have wisely"

Furthermore, the actress also spoke about climate change, "We have been talking about the climate change for decades, since our school days. Climate change is real and if we don't control the things that we humans are doing such as pollution, dumping waste into the ocean, and killing aquatic lives; it is going to cost us and that too massively. It is important that we do our bit and save the environment"

Lastly, the actress suggested some preventive measures one can take in order to preserve our environment. "Planting more and more trees and clearing of forests should be stopped immediately. Since technology is at its peak, we got to use technologies like electric cars, rain harvesting, etc. These are the little ways that we had studied when we were kids, so now it is the time to make use of those techniques,” she concluded.
