The former cricketer reportedly wants actor Ranbir Kapoor to portray him on screen. After watching Animal, the former cricketer thought of Kapoor who could play in the biopic.

Speaking at a press conference recently, Yuvraj Singh said, "Recently, I saw Animal, I thought Ranbir was fantastic. Ranbir was outstanding. It was a very powerful role. When it comes to my film, let's see. It is not my call but will be the director’s call. We’re working on it and I am sure we will have good news soon.”
