In the leaked photos from the sets of the movie, Jonathan was dressed in his role with blonde highlights as he appeared to be laughing and having fun with Ariana Grande. She plays the role of Glinda. They were filming in Buckinghamshire, England.

Wicked is a prequel to The Wizard of Oz. The movie musical also stars Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible and Ethan Slater as Boq. Originally based on Gregory Maguire’s novels “Wicked: The Life” and “Times of the Wicked Witch of the West”, Wicked has been one of the most popular musicals in the U.S. since premiering on Broadway in 2003.

The movie will be split into two parts, with Part 1 arriving on November 27, 2024, and the second part hitting the theatres a year later in 2025.
