BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Kang Dong Won spark dating rumors; YG Entertainment releases official statement

The duo was spotted together in a group photo shared by Burberry’s former creative head Riccardo Tisci.

South Korean female pop sensation group BLACKPINK’s Rosé and actor Kang Dong Won recently sparked dating rumors. As noted by the Korean tabloid Soompi, Rosé and Kang Dong Won were recently swept up in dating rumors after the two were spotted in a photo of a group social gathering posted by Burberry’s former creative head Riccardo Tisci.

In response to the continuous fan speculations, Rosé’s agency YG Entertainment stated, “It’s difficult to confirm facts related to our artist’s personal life.” Kang Dong Won was previously under the same agency as Rosé i.e., YG Entertainment.

He ended his contract with the agency in December 2022. Speaking of Rosé, last week, YG Entertainment shut down baseless drug abuse allegations against the singer soon after the same picture from Tisci surfaced online. The agency vowed to pursue legal action against the acts that defame the artist.

The label announced strong legal action against rumors regarding Rosé. On April 13, the agency released the following statement that read, “This is YG Entertainment.”

The agency added, “We reveal that the rumors associated with BLACKPINK’s Rosé that are spreading on various online communities, social media, etc. are clear false information. We are taking legal action against acts that violate the human rights of and defame our agency artist.”

“We are currently monitoring those who created and spread the rumors, and will take strong legal action in the future without any leniency or settlement,” the agency concluded.
