Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, which is set to premiere this May, has unveiled a new look at its young Lady Danbury in Bridgerton prequel series.

Bridgerton’s official Instagram handle released a sneak peek clip introducing the younger version of Lady Agatha Danbury (Adjoa Andoh) in a beautiful pink and lilac flowery dress adorned with jewels. The young Lady Danbury is being played by Arsema Thomas.

India Amarteifio is all set to take on the role of the younger version of Charlotte in the eight-episode series, with Golda Rosheuvel, who plays Queen Charlotte in Bridgerton, reprising her role.

Ruth Gemmell will also reprise her Bridgerton role of Lady Violet Bridgerton in Queen Charlotte. Michelle Fairley, Corey Mylchreest, Sam Clemmett, Richard Cunningham, Tunji Kasim, Rob Maloney, Cyril Nri and Bridgerton’s Hugh Sachs also join the prequel’s cast.

“Centered on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, this Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton,” reads the official logline for the prequel.

Bridgerton’s Shonda Rhimes serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer for the prequel alongside director Tom Verica and Betsy Beers. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story premieres on Netflix on May 4.
