BTS fans, rejoice! Jin, the eldest member of the globally renowned group, is gearing up for a busy post-military discharge period. Reports reveal that Jin is set to appear on the popular variety show The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island.
The news broke on July 1st when STARNEWS reported that Jin would be joining the cast of The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island not as a guest vacationer, but as a guest worker! This unique twist promises a fun and unexpected episode for fans. MBC, the show's broadcaster, confirmed Jin's participation while keeping the airdate under wraps, adding a touch of suspense.
For those unfamiliar with the program, The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island offers a one-of-a-kind vacation experience. The show takes place on a deserted island where former soccer legend Ahn Jung Hwan has transformed an abandoned house into a basic, yet functional, living space. Guests seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life can check into this "half-star hotel" and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. Ahn Jung Hwan and his team strive to deliver exceptional service, aiming for a five-star experience despite the island's limitations.
Additionally, reports suggest Jin is actively involved in recording new music. Before his upcoming variety show appearance, Jin will also be participating in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics torch relay. Reports reveal that he will be a torchbearer, carrying the Olympic flame on its journey across France. The flame, lit in its birthplace of Greece, arrived in France last month and embarked on a journey covering over 12,000 kilometres and touching over 400 locations before reaching the opening ceremony on June 27.
The excitement surrounding Jin's participation in the Olympic torch relay extends to the upcoming games themselves. Scheduled to run from June 27 to August 11, the Paris Olympics promises to be a spectacular event. Over 15,000 athletes from 206 countries will compete in 329 events across 32 sports, making it a truly global celebration of athleticism. South Korea is sending a strong contingent of up to 142 athletes competing in 21 sports, with archery, fencing, badminton, and taekwondo being considered potential gold medal opportunities. The Korean team's send-off ceremony is scheduled for July 9 .
