The promotional trail for Deadpool & Wolverine took a surprising turn in Seoul, South Korea, with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman crossing paths with K-Pop idols from Stray Kids and GOT7. While promoting the upcoming Marvel movie, Reynolds, known for his love of K-Pop, expressed his admiration for groups like BLACKPINK and Stray Kids during a press conference. Little did anyone know, that this would spark a series of exciting interactions?
Stray Kids’ Bang Chan and Felix, already fans of Reynolds, were thrilled to meet the actor and his on-screen partner, Hugh Jackman, in person. The excitement didn't stop there. Stray Kids took to their X account (formerly Twitter) to tease upcoming content featuring the unlikely quartet. “Introducing Stray Kids' besties, Ryan and Hugh!” they wrote. “We're so excited to show you all the awesome things we have in store! Stay tuned!”

Adding to the playful banter, Reynolds shared a short video introducing Bang Chan and Felix as “two of his favorite Australians.” He even posted a photo with the caption, “I successfully negotiated a trade. Wolverine will be the newest and only member of Stray Kids. And the entire band will join the MCU. We wish Hugh Jackman all the best on his K-pop journey.”

The actors' visit to Seoul wasn't all business and K-Pop connections. Reynolds and Jackman also embraced the city's vibrant culture by attending the Waterbomb festival, a popular summer event known where popular musicians perform in Seoul under water showers.
