Warner Bros. and Legendary recently debuted the teaser trailer for the highly anticipated epic Dune: Part Two, featuring Austin Butler’s bald and terrifying villain Feyd-Rautha! The Timothée Chalamet-led sequel will release the official trailer on May 3. Additionally, the new teaser came along with a new poster featuring the lead stars Chalamet and Zendaya.
Butler, who got an Oscar nomination for his starring role in Baz Luhrmann’s biopic Elvis, is one of the new additions to the Dune family alongside Florence Pugh and Christopher Walken. As Variety notes, Feyd-Rautha is the evil nephew of Baron Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsgård) and the brother of the sadistic Glossu Rabban, played by Dave Bautista in Villeneuve’s film franchise. The two brothers are in competition to become the Harkonnen family’s successor on the planet Arrakis.
The 44-second teaser debuts Butler’s shaved head as well as a new look at Florence Pugh’s Princess Irulan. “He’s someone Machiavellian, much more cruel, much more strategic and is more narcissistic,” Villeneuve said of Butler’s villainous Feyd-Rautha in a conversation with Vanity Fair. “Rabban wants to please,” Villeneuve later, added highlighting the difference in the two Harkonnen nephews.

“He wants to please the baron. He wants to shine in front of his uncle, but there’s something touching about Rabban because he’s a bad strategist. He’s not very intelligent. Rabban finds himself, at the end of part one, in the position where he doesn’t have the brain to be able to manage and control all these operations. Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen is a very clever, very charismatic figure, and much more brilliant.”
“This follow-up film will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family,” reads the official synopsis. “Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”
Based on the classic novel of the same name by Frank Herbert, Dune: Part Two is again directed by Denis Villeneuve. The returning cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, and Stephen McKinley Henderson with new comers Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam IV, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha, Léa Seydoux as Lady Margot, and Souheila Yacoub as Shishakli.
Dune: Part Two will officially be released in theaters on November 3.
