Jennifer Lopez turns 55 in Bridgerton-inspired bash in stunning Manish Malhotra custom-gown created by 40 artisans over 3,490 hours

Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez celebrated her 55^th birthday in regal fashion with a lavish Bridgerton-themed party. The pop icon, known for her extravagant style, outdid herself this time, donning a custom-made ensemble designed by India’s renowned fashion designer, Manish Malhotra.

The outfit was a labour of love that took 40 artisans over 3,490 hours to create. Malhotra opted for a vintage brocade fabric for the voluminous skirt, which he paired with an off-shoulder corset. The showstopper, however, was the intricate floral motif, meticulously hand-moulded from sequins and adorned with over half a million crystals. To complete the regency era look, JLo accessorized with a signature headpiece, subtle jewellery, and elegant gloves.

Sharing his excitement on social media, Malhotra expressed his honour in dressing the iconic singer for her special day. "An honour to Dress the Iconic @jlo ♥️for her Birthday with the fun The BRIDGERTON Theme party .. Custom Couture .. Corset and the Victorian Skirt with Vintage Brocade. Crafted by 40 artisans over 3,490 hours, the corset and Victorian skirt features a floral motif moulded by hand from sequins and over half a million crystals. Petal and ring-shaped metal sequins were especially treated to preserve their hue to craft this ensemble, a celebration of intricate artistry and Indian craftsmanship," he wrote.

JLo herself took to Instagram to thank her fans for their unwavering support throughout her career.
