Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld: Ali Wong, Lucy Liu, Kim Woo Sung and more to star in new 2D animated series at Netflix

Netflix has announced a new magical animated series, Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld, which will feature a star-studded voice cast of Ali Wong, Bowen Yang, Lori Tan Chinn, Lucy Liu, Jimmy O. Yang, Sheng Wang, and Kim Woo Sung.

According to Deadline, the series follows Jentry Chau (voiced by Wong), a Chinese American teen living in a small Texas town, who finds out a demon king is hunting her for the supernatural powers she’s been working her whole life to repress.

The description continues “With the help of her weapons expert great-aunt and a millennia-old jiangshi (Chinese hopping vampire), Jentry must now fight an entire underworld’s worth of monsters while balancing the horrors of high school.”

The new supernatural action series at Netflix comes from showrunner Echo Wu, and executive producers Ali Wong and Aron Eli Coleite. Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina will also executive produce the new 2D animated series.

Further details are yet to be announced by the makers. No release date has been provided for Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld yet.
