NewJeans makes generous donation to support hearing-impaired children

South Korean female pop group NewJeans has donated the proceeds of their album sales to an organization for the hearing-impaired. According to Korean tabloid Soompi, this donation comes from the proceeds of their album sales and will be their first of many, as ADOR and NewJeans plan to make annual donations from a portion of their album sale profits. Their first donation will be used to cover costs of cochlear implant surgeries and speech rehabilitation.

“ADOR, along with their agency artist NewJeans, has made a donation to support the hearing impaired,” Snail of Love announced on December 29. ADOR said, “We’re happy to participate in the meaningful act of gifting sound. We will create good music so that NewJeans’s music can be conveyed to even more people.”

Snail of Love’s director Cho Young Woon also shared, “We thank ADOR and artist NewJeans for sharing with the hearing impaired. I will make sure this donation is used well for children with impaired hearing who are unable to get surgery due to financial difficulties.”

Following their debut this year, NewJeans returned with new music earlier this month with 'Ditto'.
