Mike Colter and Daniella Pineda reveal why Plane isn’t like any other movie; says, “This movie is cinematic, it isn’t a digital throwaway”

A classical action story from the producers of Angel Has Fallen, and Greenland, Plane stars Gerard Butler as a flight commander who saves his passengers from a lightning strike by making a risky landing on a war-torn island, only to find that surviving the landing was just the beginning. When most of the passengers are taken hostage by dangerous rebels, the only person Torrance can count on for help is Louis Gaspare (Mike Colter), an accused murderer the FBI was transporting. To rescue the passengers, Torrance will need Gaspare’s help and will learn there’s more to him than meets the eye.

Opening up on the movie Mike Colter said, “All action films aren't the same, or at least they shouldn't be. And this felt like it had a heart to it, and I read it, and I really thought that it's gonna depend a lot on the chemistry between the two characters of Torrance and Gaspar. I know Jerry's work as an actor, and I thought it'd be a great opportunity to sort of come up with something that could actually be a very fun project and a very fun movie”

Talking about her character Daniella Pineda shared, “Bonnie was a character who was really strong, but sweet and like it was not the type of character that I've gotten to portray before. So it was a good fit plane. What was so cool about shooting it was that it felt like a nineties action film. And I think the distinction is that there's tons of action movies that get made, but we all know the ones from the nineties are the best because they're cinematic. And this movie is cinematic. It's not just a digital throwaway. Like there's artistry. Everyone wanted to feel real and raw like it's definitely going to be a standout film for that reason”
