NCT 127 to perform at CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live show on December 31 ahead of repackaged album release

The band will appear alongside Theo James, Geena Davis and DJ Steve Aoki among others.

South Korean band NCT’s sub-unit NCT 127 will reportedly appear on CNN’s year-end New Year bash live show to welcome 2023 representing K-pop. According to Korean tabloid Soompi, NCT 127 will be appearing on CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live on December 31 (local time) as artists representing K-pop to viewers all around the world.

Through an interview with CNN anchor Kristie Lu Stout, the group will take a look back on their activities throughout 2022 and share more about their plans for the upcoming year.

Besides NCT 127, footballer Wayne Rooney, Geena Davis, Theo James, DJ Steve Aoki, Japanese artist Kusama Yayoi among others will also join the new year special show to welcome 2023.

CNN’s New Year special live event, launched in 2001, is jointly held by CNN and CNN International. Per the report, this year’s show will be hosted in major cities across the globe, including Asia, Africa, Europe, South America, and the United States.

The news of the band’s appearance on CNN’s year-end event comes a day after the group’s agency SM Entertainment shared details of NCT 127’s forthcoming album Ay-Yo, a repackaged version of their fourth studio album 질주 (2 Baddies).
