Park Bo Gum and Bae Suzy captivate with their chemistry in Wonderland first stills; share adorable selfies

The makers of the highly anticipated South Korean movie Wonderland recently unveiled its first stills featuring the beloved stars Park Bo Gum and Suzy Bae. The star-studded cast boasts some of South Korea's most celebrated actors. Joining Park and Suzy are Tang Wei, Jung Yu Mi, and Choi Woo Shik.

As the new stills have been released, Soompi reported that Park Bo Gum takes on the role of Tae Joo, while Suzy portrays Jung In. Their characters become entangled with the Wonderland service but with a unique twist. Directed by Kim Tae Yong, Wonderland delves into the captivating concept of a virtual world designed for reunions. The film introduces a service that utilizes AI technology to reconstruct deceased loved ones for a chance encounter through video calls. This premise promises a story brimming with themes of grief, acceptance, and the complexities of human connection.

Suzy's character, Jung In, grapples with the aftermath of an unfortunate accident that leaves her boyfriend Tae Joo in a coma. Unable to bear the separation, Jung In utilizes the Wonderland service to create a virtual replica of Tae Joo. The stills hint at the emotional turmoil Jung In experiences as she navigates the complexities of her feelings - happiness at reconnecting with a version of Tae Joo, confusion about the nature of their bond, and a deep longing for the real person she loves.

Park Bo Gum, on the other hand, is tasked with portraying two distinct versions of Tae Joo. He embodies the AI-generated Tae Joo within the Wonderland service, and then transitions to portraying the real Tae Joo who awakens from unconsciousness.

Along with the stills, Suzy shared a series of selfies with Park on Instagram on April 30 with a caption that read, “Tae Joo and Jung In.”
