Twenty Five, Twenty One’s Choi Hyun Wook confirmed to join season 2 of Netflix series D.P.

South Korean actor and Twenty Five, Twenty One fame Choi Hyun Wook will reportedly join the cast of D.P. in the upcoming season 2. On January 10, a source from Choi Hyun Wook’s agency GOLDMEDALIST comfirmed the newsof Choi Hyun Wook’s casting and stated, “Choi Hyun Wook will be starring in Season 2 of the Netflix series ‘D.P.'” Speaking of his role, the source added, “Please check out his specific role through the drama.”

The streamer confirmed the series’ renewal last year in December 2021. As noted by Korean tabloid Soompi, based on a popular webtoon, D.P. (stands for Deserter Pursuit) is a series about a special military squad sent to chase down deserters.

Jung Hae In stars as Ahn Jun Ho, a new recruit who is scouted for the D.P. squad before he has adapted to military life. Goo Kyo Hwan co-stars as Han Ho Yeol, the team leader of the D.P. squad. Kim Sung Kyun will appear as Sergeant Park Beom Gu, and Son Suk Ku as Lieutenant Im Ji Seob.

In May 2022, it was confirmed that Jung Hae In, Goo Kyo Hwan, Son Suk Ku, and Kim Sung Kyun would return for Season 2 along with new members Ji Jin Hee and Kim Ji Hyun. According to a press release from Netflix at the time, director Han Jun Hee and original webtoon writer Kim Bo-tong will also be returning to the new season of D.P.
