Warner Bros. to debut Ezra Miller’s The Flash movie trailer at Super Bowl 2023

Super Bowl LVII will take place on February 12, 2023.

Warner Bros., the studio behind embattled Ezra Miller’s superhero flick The Flash, is reportedly planning to air the upcoming film’s first trailer during Super Bowl LVII on February 12, 2023. According to The Wrap, the buzz-creating film will have its trailer pegged in front of Marvel Studios Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which opens in theaters on February 17, 2023. The film has been testing positively per the outlet’s source.

The last time the studio promoted a project at the Super Bowl was back in 2006, when promos aired for 16 Blocks, V for Vendetta and Poseidon aired throughout the big game. Starring Ezra Miller and inspired by the landmark comic “Flashpoint,” the film will see “The Flash travel across various multiverses, encountering other versions of himself as well as a version of Supergirl from an alternate timeline.” The film also stars Michael Keaton return as Batman after nearly 30 years.

The film also made headlines as Miller saw himself embroiled in several troubling personal events and legal dramas. Following the reports, the embattled star announced that he struggles with “complex mental health issues” and apologized in a statement for his erratic behavior.

Besides Miller as Barry Allen / The Flash, the film will also star both Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton's iterations of Bruce Wayne / Batman, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdu as Nora Allen, Ian Loh as a young Barry Allen, and Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Rudy Mancuso in undisclosed roles.

Directed by IT's Muschietti, The Flash comes from a script by Birds of Prey and Batgirl's Christina Hodson. The film is currently set to be released on June 16, 2023. Meanwhile, Super Bowl LVII will take place on February 12, 2023.
