According to the Korean tabloid Soompi, Jung Chae Yull’s agency Management S has shared the news of her passing on April 11 in a statement that read, “Today, we are relaying sorrowful and heartbreaking news. Actress Jung Chae Yull has left our side on April 11, 2023.”

The statement continued, “In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family who must have been in greater sadness than anyone else, the funeral will be held quietly in private. Please wish for Jung Chae Yull, who had always been earnest in her pursuit of acting, to rest in peace in a warm place. We earnestly request that you refrain from writing speculative articles or spreading rumors.”

Jung Chae Yull was filming for a web novel-based drama Wedding Impossible. Following the news of her passing, the production crew reportedly halted the shoot and offered condolences. A representative from the production team of her drama shared, “We express our deep condolences. Future filming schedule is under internal discussion.”

Jung Chae Yull is known for her appearance in the Netflix series Zombie Detective and thriller film Deep. She began her career as a model in the survival program Devil’s Runway in 2016.
