Commenting on the National Award win, presenter of Dekh Indian Circus, Imtiaz Ali said, "I am very proud of our team and this outstanding achievement."
Earlier this year the film premiered at the 16th Busan Film Festival in the New Currents section, opening to positive review from critics and winning the Audience Choice award.
Presented by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Mahaveer S. Jain, Anil Lad, Chirag Shah, Dekh Indian Circus is about finding victory and smiles with the small things in lives directed by Mangesh Hadawale.
Interestingly, the other films that won National Awards namely, Kahaani, Paan Singh Tomar and Vicky Donor have already released making Dekh Indian Circus, the only film to win prior to its release.
Adding to Jain, co-producer Chirag Shah thanked each and every member of the team to make this dream come true saying, "I'm sure emotions of the film touch each and everyone and it will make a big home in audience hearts."
